The Classic 'Feedback Blog'

3 blogs in less than a week. Surely some kind of record.

Anyway, due to switching broadband providers, I will have limited access to the internet over the next few days (at least). For this reason, I am uploading my logo ideas so far to my blog (along with some fonts) and would appreciated if people could take a look at them and give me some feedback on them so that I can make a good start on them hopefully this week.

There is alot of them so they're saved as a PDF file for your downloading pleasure. Sadly they're not numbered, although this will be a test of a 'good logo' if it is simple enough to be described.

Fonts

Apologies for the large file sizes. I realise its not very 'user friendly' but I haven't got the time tonight to sort it out and will have no net as of tomorrow. I will sort it out ASAP however.

It's difficult to say which ones stand out at this early rough sketch stage, also if there was a way to reference them then we could say "I like no12". There are too many to describe their positions.

I think the fonts will come into play when you near a shortlist to see wich ones suit the design and the music of the record company. How did you do the fonts list? by hand? or is there a tool I dont know about.

The one at the bottom of page 6 is exactly the same as one of mine with the A&W merging.

Repost when you have dwindled it down to fewer designs and number them, I think you will get a better response. You have spurred me on now to create a lot more than what I have already.

Note to self: draw more designs than Craig Allington

I agree with Dean, it's really difficult to say which ones you like at such an early stage.

You're best off going for your favorite couple, say 6, then mocking them up properly and reposting some.

It's striking how many of the obvious ones I have too, and no doubt we all will.

RE: the current comments.

The reason I chose so many was because I wasn't sure which I thought were best, therefore thought it would be best to put them all up.

They are unnumbered, purely because of lack of time (as was explained in the blog its self).

If you are wanting just a few designs, then how about if I just ask for feedback on the final page (the neatened up ones?) and if any one has any strong feelings about any of the other designs then please say.

Dean - the fonts list I simply went through MS Word and picked which I thought looked alright/different and typed them out. It did take a while but I don't know any other way of doing it.

Thanks for the responses, both of you though.

I like the design that has the jigsaw elemnt to it and the one that uses a capital A with a globe in it.

As for the one with the worlds in each of the counters, bowls, eyes etc I think that could become a bit busy so maybe just have one in the counter of the O in world.

Another good one is the design with the shooting stars travelling through the letters. As long as you keep the colour scheme simple this should be a very good design.

(From Dean) Note to self: Try and do better logo designs than Craig

In that case then, on the last page I like the positive and negative one.

Depending on how the colour is used and what font is chosen, this could be a winner.

Note to self: Give Craig duff info.

Only kidding.

Interesting designs, and alot of them! I can't really pick any out though but im more than happy to in lesson when I can see a little better. But I tend to go for the simple ones, rather than the ones with globes, shooting stars etc.
