Saxamaphone!

Below are my advertising banners for two different artists for a Wakefield Jazz club. Feedback welcomed.

I just think the name of the artiste should be bolder as this is the primary part of your banner and that font (is it bodoni?) is not readable at first glance, it takes concentration to read it.

Which image are we talking about Dean?

The name of the artist's are in 'Broadway' the 'Live at' and the date is in 'Arial Narrow' and the 'Wakefield Jazz', for want of a better word logo, is in 'Bernard MT Condensed'.

I realise that three fonts on one image may seem rather 'baby designer'ish, but I have done this from feedback from Steve (apparently using the same font for all the 'Live at...' bit was too confusing, but having it all a simple font didn't stress the venue enough.

You've misinterpreted what I said Craig. A lot more work needs to be done on your choice of fonts, and their position. The more typefaces you use - and the more sizes - the less coherent the design looks. As a very general rule, use no more than two font families in a piece of design.

Sorry Steve.

As I said I thought that 3 fonts seemed a little bit weird, and thought I might have misunderstood what you meant.

I'll have another crack at the weekend and see what I can do. I do have quite a limited set of fonts however, so I might add 'download more fonts' into my self study for this week.

Get to www.1001freefonts.com, most are rubbish but there are some decent ones that are worth hanging onto for future projects.

Skyscraper-I think the black text on the skin works well, the alignment of the text could be more defined.Keep Tweekin!Craig
